century and so much liked by the court of Louis XIV that the word
"Tulle" became famous all around the world.

The religious art room brings together various
statuary pieces representative of Limousin sculptors' technics.
You can notice in greater details two heads of holy-ladies, remains
of entombments from the end of the 15th century, statues of popular
devotions in polychrome painted wood from the 17th and 18th centuries.
A splendid and imposing baroque lectern and its antiphonary, from
the workshops of the Duhamel Brothers (Tulle), is sitting in the
place of honour.
